Latina Christiana

Latina Christiana is the perfect introduction to Latin for students in the middle to upper elementary grades. There are no prerequisites for this class.

Students learn approximately 200 vocabulary words, the 1st and 2nd Conjugations (present system, indicative, active), and the 1st and 2nd Declensions.

We teach Latina Christiana at two different paces:

1. Full Book: This class covers the entire book in one year. Students spend one week on each lesson. This class is recommended for students in 4th or 5th grade. Students should plan to spend approximately 20-30 minutes per day doing Latin work on non-class days.

2. Two-Year Pace: This class splits the book over two years. Students spend two weeks on each lesson. This gentle pace allows more time to memorize vocabulary and grammar. This class is recommended for students in 3rd-5th grade. Students should plan to spend about 15-20 minutes per day doing Latin work on non-class days.

This class meets twice a week for 45 minutes each session.
